Sew Essentials may change or update these policies as needed. Please refer to our website for updates. Enrolling/Registering is an acknowledgement that you have read and understood the information contained herein and agree to adhere to such terms.
Cancellation policy:
- Class fees are NON-refundable and are 100% due at time of registration.
- Please check your calendar carefully before committing to a class enrollment.
- We appreciate as much notice as possible for cancellations. Cancellations must be made no later than 3 business days (Business Days, in this instance, refer to the hours that we are in the office, administratively speaking, managing class enrollments. Specifically, Monday through Saturday, excluding major holidays, between the hours of 11:00AM and 5:00 PM) BEFORE the date of your class*, in order to maintain a class credit.
- FOR PRIVATE & SEMI-PRIVATE CLASSES: * Full payment is due to secure your spot upon signing up. 100% of class fee is refundable or transferable to another class if cancellation is done at least 72 hours before class. There is NO REFUND NOR TRANSFER OF FUNDS TO ANOTHER CLASS IF WE RECEIVE NOTIFICATION OF YOUR INABILITY TO ATTEND CLASS WITH LESS THAN 72 HOURS NOTICE.
- Failure to do so means forfeiture of your class fee. If arrangements are made before the deadline, students may transfer fees, as a credit, to another class (subject to availability) or maintain a credit to use toward a future enrollment. There are no make-up classes for any classes missed. If you miss one class in a series you may not be able to continue with the series without first scheduling a private lesson ($75 per hour) to get caught up. Please keep in mind that Private Lessons are not always available.
- In the unlikely event that class is canceled by Sew Essentials, you can either opt to keep a credit for a future class with us, or choose to receive a full refund.
Cancellation policy:
- Class materials lists are posted beforehand. Class details state if materials are included or not.
- Students are free to purchase materials from other retailers.
- ALL required materials and tools are to be purchased in advance. Materials purchased from Sew Essentials must be purchased during shop hours. Class time will be used for instruction only.
- Due to copyright laws, students are required to purchase the pattern for class in order to participate
- Sew Essentials Sewing Studio accepts and encourages independent students. Registration is for a single enrollment. As such, the sewing and cutting areas are off limits to non-students during class time, including parents. The presence of others in these areas during class time may distract students.
- All classes are for Ages 7 & up) unless otherwise noted.
- Instructor reserves the right to decline teaching UNPREPARED attendees/students.
Inclement Weather policy
- The decision to cancel or postpone classes shall be at the discretion of the teacher/instructor. The teacher/instructor will assess the safety risks and weather conditions to determine whether it is advisable to proceed with scheduled classes or to make necessary adjustments.

Prior to each session, we’ll share a detailed list of materials and tools you’ll need. You can find basic supplies available on-site or bring your preferred tools to enhance your sewing experience.

We understand plans can change. You can receive a full refund if you cancel 48 hours before your class or workshop. For cancellations within 48 hours, we offer a credit toward future classes. Detailed policy information is available on our website.
