Class Schedule: Weekly, 1.5-hour sessions
Course Objectives:
- Familiarize students with basic sewing tools and materials.
- Teach the fundamental operations of a sewing machine.
- Introduce essential sewing techniques, including stitching, seams, and hems.
- Guide students through simple sewing projects to build confidence and skills.

Each week will build on the previous one, ensuring a comprehensive understanding and mastery of intermediate sewing skills.
Course Duration: 5 Weeks
Class Schedule: Weekly, 1.5-hour sessions
Course Objectives:
- Familiarize students with advanced sewing machine functions such a buttonholes, decorative stiches, machine settings for different fabrics
- Introduce seams types and finishing techniques
- Pattern Reading
- Alteration Techniques
Materials Needed:
- Sewing machine (provided in class or recommended for purchase)
- Basic sewing kit (needles, threads, scissors, pins, measuring tape)
- Fabric and patterns for projects
- Notebooks for notes and sketches
Prerequisites: Basic sewing knowledge, including familiarity with a sewing machine, basic stitches, and simple garment construction. Previous completion of a beginner sewing course is recommended.

Course Objectives
- Precision Tailoring: Learn the art of tailoring with detailed techniques for creating structured, well-fitted garments.
- Couture Methods: Explore hand-sewing techniques used in couture, such as pad stitching, hand-rolled hems, and couture seam finishes.
- Project Start: Begin a Tailored Dress or Peplum Top, focusing on perfecting the foundation and structure.
Course Materials: Students must provide their own fabric and materials for projects will be outlined in the course syllabus.

Open Sew
Come use our studio as your studio, and dedicate some sewing time to yourself! Some of the things you can use at my studio are:
- Large cutting areas, rulers, and scissors/rotary cutters
- Ironing boards
- Sewing Machines
- All my notions, books, and anything else you can find!
- I’ll be there to answer questions as you work on your project (I cannot give you 100% dedication, but I can answer questions as you work on your project independently)
