What to expect when you choose to get text messages from Sew Essentials.

The program
Sew Essentials: The Sewing Spot, 3532 Urbana Pike, Suite F, Urbana, MD 21704, sends text messages to people who ask to receive them. You opt in by checking the text-message box on one of our website forms (class and workshop requests, registrations, birthday party requests, alteration requests or the contact form), or by texting us first.
Texting is optional. You never have to agree to receive texts to register, request a service or buy anything from us.
What we text
- Replies to your request or question.
- Registration confirmations, payment links and class reminders.
- Schedule changes, weather closings and updates about a class, party or alteration you asked about.
- Occasionally, a request for feedback after a class or service.
How often
Message frequency varies with your requests and bookings. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
Opting out and getting help
- Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. We will send one final message confirming you are unsubscribed, and then no more texts unless you opt in again.

Your privacy
Mobile numbers and text-message opt-in consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We only share your number with the providers that deliver our messages. See our Privacy Policy for details.
The fine print
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and coverage. We may change these terms from time to time; the effective date at the top shows when they last changed.
